Lace & Trousers

Hey guys!
I am so excited for today's post because; I have been searching for the perfect pair of trousers for sometime now and I finally found them!
So of course I had to share how I would style these.

The Look:

For this outfit I kept it simply yet chic.
I paired these lovely trousers with a lace (detailed trim) top and added some edge with these metallic pointed pumps.

To complete the look; I added touch of periwinkle blue to my nails with Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails in ' 365 Hard Bitten'
And that's the completed look.

Orly-Grape Glitz | Nails of the day

Hi guys!
I'm back with a very short and season appropriate blog post.
Since the beginning of Spring I have been painting my nails a ton, experimenting with colours I wouldn't usually- like orange and periwinkle blues.
Although I love those shades, this beautiful soft purple shade with fine hints of shimmer has definitely been my most favorite and is perfect for spring time!

Nails Of The Day

>>> <<<

 This is a sheer lacquer but it is build-able; I applied three thin coats to achieve this look. This lacquer is fast drying as well as long lasting, however to ensure longevity apply a good top coat.
This shade is soft and feminine with a touch of sparkle, perfect for every princess...I mean girl.
I would recommend this lacquer as  it gives your nails that salon finish in the comfort of your own home and will cost you a mere fraction of the price.

Green Smoothie | DIY

 Hi Guys,
In today's post I will be sharing, my everyday Green Smoothie recipe.
The great thing about making these smoothies yourself is that you can custom make them to your preference, by adding whichever fruits and veg you like.
This is an easy way to get all those vitamins, from one tasty drink!

DIY Green Smoothie
Serves 2

You'll need:

A blender

2 Green apples (medium sized)

2 Handfuls of raw chopped spinach

1 Medium to large sized pear

3 Medium strawberries

1/2 Medium sized pineapple (diced)

2-3 Tablespoons of yogurt (double cream yogurt works great)

3 Tablespoons of juice (I used apple juice)

Place all your ingredients into the blender and blend for
30-45 sec or until desired consistency is reached.

and Enjoy!

Today's post is a very easy to achieve, yet stylish and on trend look.
For this outfit I styled a t-shirt dress with a loose fit blazer, some socks and combat boots.
I then added a black cap and some round sunnies, for jewelry I kept it simple with my everyday pieces.
 To complete the look I opted for a pop of color on my nails with Sally Hansen Hard As Nails in 'Hard Bitten'

August | Favourites

Hi guys!
August is finally gone and winter is officially over, yay!
I am super excited for September because it is my birthday month and I have lots of exciting posts in mind.
Today's post is my August favorites- just some things I have been loving this past month.

>>>  <<<

Lip Combo:
Liner - Yardley in 'Spicy Nude'
This is my all time favorite lip combo, I will probably wear this forever ;) The Nyx lip cream is a matte lipstick which I love but some days I like to add a bit of gloss over it and this Avon plump pout is great definitely one of my favorite glosses.

>>> <<<

Orly in FBl2831

I have been painting my nails a ton this past month, Blues and Nudes. This nude shade is perfect for my skin tone, its fast drying and lasts up to 5 days. Another nail polish I've been loving is the Sinful colors in 'Cinderella'.

>>> <<<

Fluffy Knit - Double zero

On the cold and rainy days; this was my go-to piece- a black fluffy knit!
This has been in my last  favorites and I still love it. I wish I had them in ever single color possible.

>>> <<<

Silver lace ups - MrP

These are oldies but goodies! I got these on sale last year and I am still obsessed with them. They are bold and add a little something to any outfit. Obsessed!

>>> <<<

Large sunnies- MrP

Although it was winter there were many sunny days and the shades were absolutely perfect blocking out those rays. They are black so they match everything, they have some minor gold detailing and were really inexpensive.

>>> <<<

Double-back earrings - MrP

I have been wanting these ever since I saw them online. I couldn't find them anywhere and I didn't know of they would suit me. Recently I found this pair at MrP ,they were so inexpensive! I got them to see if I would like them, and well they are in my favorites, so of course I love them.

>>> <<<

Nesquik Sandwich Biscuits

These are so good and so extremely addicting. They are really delicious especially the strawberry flavor and I usually don't like anything strawberry flavored.
I would definitely recommend this snack.

Electric Heart by RUE 21

This perfume is amazing, it has a clean, long lasting fragrance.
With notes of Bergamot, Pineapple, Moss and Cedarwood this is a great scent for the summer for sure.

Grunge Chic

 Hi Guys!
Today's look is inspired by one of my favorite trends, Grunge Fashion.
Grunge fashion is funky, edgy and very 90's, this outfit is more of a subtle take on the trend and it's quite easy to achieve as well.
Lets get right into the today's look.

The outfit:

>>> <<<

For this outfit I paired some regular black skinny jeans with this boxy fit snake skin printed sleeveless tee.
I then added a black boater hat for more of a grungy look. For shoes I went for a pair of patent leather combat boots. I opted for these gold double back earrings to add a touch of chic and finally to complete the look I added a pop of color on my nails with Sinful Colors in ' Cinderella'

Spots & Stripes | Mixing Prints

Mixing prints is an easy way to transform your outfit and create your very own masterpiece.
There are many sources out there to finding what works and what doesn't when it comes to mixing prints, and once you've got it, you've got it.

One of my all time favourite prints is definitely leopard print, The best part about this print is that it becomes a neutral when mixing it with other prints such as stripes, dots and even floral, so you can never go wrong with some leopard!

Tip: When starting out with mixing prints, replace your solid color top with a print/pattern in the same color.

For today's outfit I paired two of my favourite prints -
Leopard & Stripes.

I styled this striped bodycon skirt with a (long sleeved boxy fit) leopard printed crop top. For shoes I opted for these brown leather ankles boots. And finally for jewelry I kept it simple with a pair of pearl studs.

Update : Purple Hair

Hi Guys!

Today's posted is my purple hair update as promised. About two or so months ago I dyed my hair purple using Manic Panic Electric Amethyst, I did a full blog post on the process and today I will be answering all the FAQ about my purple hair.

If you haven't yet read the first post, you can do so here

>>>  <<<

Where did you get your hair done?

I did it myself, I  am in no way a professional and the process I followed may not necessarily be correct. I did an entire post on the process in a previous post ( here )
Like I said I am not a professional but I did do lots of research and I honestly feel that I did a good job and this technique most definitely worked for me.

Was it a very damaging process?

If you have blonde hair, dyeing your hair purple will be quite simple and quick, however if you have darker hair- Dark blonde / Brown / Black you will be required to lighten you hair  pale to white blonde in order to achieve this particular shade of purple. Yes the process was damaging as I had to lighten my hair a couple of times, but there are really good home lightening products available lately and also conditioning your hair is a great help. I would recommend a nourishing hair mask or even plain old coconut oil.

How long does the color last?

The color lasted about one month. However I have to stress, if you wash your hair everyday or every other day it will NOT last as long.

 How did you maintain the color?

After I achieved the final color I wantedI re-dyed my hair exactly one week after and again the week thereafter. I washed my hair with cool to cold water every time because hot water washes the color out a lot quicker. I never used any special shampoo's, but I tried not to wash the length of my hair too vigorously and I tried not to wash my hair too often as well. I then re-dyed my hair again a month after the first time just to freshen up the color for a wedding I was attending.

If  I have left out anything, please feel free to leave your questions in the comment section and I will gladly answer them.

Styling Rainboots Pt1

Hey Guys,
today's post is the first part of my styling series, Styling Rain boots.
I recently rediscovered my rain boots and I realised that there are many different ways in which one can style these boots.

Rain boots are perfect for the rainy season however; they are great for spring as well. I mean they easy to wear, comfy and they are waterproof!
When you wear them, you feel like a kid again and who doesn't enjoy such moments?

The weather has been absolutely amazing today, it felt like a summer's day for sure. Because of the lovely weather I decided to pair my rain boots with one of my favourite dresses, which in this post I wore as a skirt.

>>> <<<

The look:

>>> <<<

For this outfit I paired my houndstooth printed rain boots with a black pleather dress. To keep warm I added (my current obsession) a grey fluffy knit pullover and for jewelry I went for a simple silver ring statement necklace.
