Everyday Make-up look

HELLO!

Today's post is not fashion but beauty related. I decided to show you how you can create my everyday Make-up look, its both simple and quick to achieve.

Lets get started:
Start off with a clean washed face.

Step 1:
Moisturize your face with your favorite moisturizer, I use Essence my skin mattifying cream.

Step 2:

Apply foundation.I use a pressed powder.

Step 3:
Moisturize lips, I use Labello Lip butter in Raspberry Rose

Step 4:
Fill in your brows. I already have thick brows therefore I only fill in the sparse areas. I use Elizabeth Arden Brow Shaper sable in shade 3.

Next

Step 5:
For my lids I used the beige shadow up until my crease, then took the darkest shade and lightly blended it into my crease and lastly I took the lightest shade and highlighted my brow bone.

Step 6:
Next I took my liquid eyeliner pen I use Essence 2in1 eyeliner pen and created a small wing on my upper lash line.

Step 7:
I then curled my lashes.

Step 8:
And lastly apply your favorite mascara, I used Essence Big Lash Curler

Lastly:
Step 9:
Apply blush. I prefer cream blush as its longer lasting and leaves a dewy finish. I applied the blush to the apples of my cheeks using my finger tips.

Step 10:
Next I lined my lips lightly. I use Essence Lip-liner in 05 Soft Berry

Step 11:
And lastly I applied a thin layer of lipstick. I use Essence Long lasting lipstick in Barely There!

     THIS IS THE COMPLETED LOOK

This look is  subtle enough for everyday because as it is simple and not over done. Its even suitable for work, school(if allowed) or going out with friends.

Here are some before and after shots.

Hello Spring

Hello guys,

Well it is officially Spring, the most beautiful season - with all the green trees, flowers blooming and warm sunny days.

what better way to celebrate this season than with pastel and floral prints or even both!

For today's look I went for something a bit more "girly" than usual, yet simple and stylish.

Black is not associated with Spring but it always manages to worm its way into my outfits(It definitely matches with everything)

For shoes and accessories I went for a pair of black wedge ankle boots, round sunnies, A silver charm bracelet and some rings.

DIY Choker

Hey
Today's post is a bit different, as I decided to show your guys an easy way how to make your very own a choker.
This is one of my favorite neck pieces and the choker has became a jewelry trend again this year.

You'll need:A clasp,2 rings(1 small and 1 big) a pliers and some chain.

Firstly measure the part of your neck where you'd like the choker to fit, then cut the chain to the desired length.Once that is done use the pliers to open the link exactly in the middle of the chain and add the big ring. Now open a link on one end of the chain and add the smaller ring and on the other end add the clasp.
AND YOUR DONE
This is the end result

Optional:
I decided that I wanted to make another "choker" to pair with this one so here are the instructions.

You'll need:Some chain,2 small rings,clasp and lastly a pliers.

What you want to do is measure where on your neck you want the second chain to fit and then cut it to length. Now add one ring to each end of the chain and lastly attach the clasp and its done.

This is the end result.

I would love to see your recreations.

Gingham

HELLO!

Gingham is most definitely my favorite spring print this year,it has just the right amount of boldness to it. As you know I live in South Africa and spring has just began. What I love about spring is the fact that it is not too hot and everything looks pretty, but one thing is for sure nothing beats AUTUMN!

This print was seen at many fashion shows last year/this year in the 2014 spring collections of Oscar de la Renta, Derek Lam and Delpozo

For today's look I went for something more'put together'.

I paired this two piece gingham print set (a pencil skirt and a half sleeve crop top). For shoes and accessories I kept it simple with a pair of patent leather booties and a pair of round frame sunnies.

Skirt: Mr Price
Crop top: Mr Price
Shoes: Jet stores
Sunglasses: Flea Market

Striped

Hey

stripes stripes stripes

You can never go wrong with stripes. Its an easy way to make a statement without going overboard!

Here are a few tips regarding stripes.

*For fuller figures especially, avoid thick horizontal stripes as they can make you appear even fuller.

*For people on the shorter side, vertical stripes are the way to go. They create an illusion of a taller body or legs, depending where on the body the stripes are worn.

*Remember that there is no such thing as stripes and polka dots are not to be worn together, its not true. They can but shouldn't contrast each other to much.
Eg: Thinner stripes with larger dots and vice-versa.

For today's outfit I paired some basic skinny jeans with a blue and white striped tee and spiced up look with a pair of metallic silver court pump heels.
