Day to Night Transition | AUrate New York

Day to Night Jewelry Transition
10.08.16

I recently came across AUrate New York, a company which specializes in real gold jewelry. Lately I've really been into gold, the great thing about real gold is that it is going to last literally forever, yes its pricey but think about it; you never going to have them turning your fingers green or the actual pieces turning black! So for today's post I am going to show you how I would transition some for my favorite pieces from AUrate onto a day to night outfit.

Day Look: Simple Chic

For the day outfit I went for something easy and casual.Slip dresses are definitely a trend for this Spring. For this look I opted for AUrate's unstated pieces, keeping to the simplicity of the dress. I styled the dress with their X earrings, Gold Bar necklaceStack able rings. For shoes I went for these tie leg sandals and a small cross body.

Night Look: Chunky Chic

For the night look I switched up the jewelry for some chunkier pieces; The close bracelet, mini pendant necklace and the large back earrings from the flower collection. For shoes I opted for some platform heels and a clutch.

The cool thing about AUrate New York is that you can customize the pieces you would like. You can choose the material you'd prefer between 14k Gold / 18k Gold or Vermeil. You can also choose between White/Rose/Yellow Gold. Be sure to check out AUrate, I guarantee you'll find something that fits your style!

Thank you so much for reading. I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A BLESSED WEDNESDAY!

God Bless

The Ultimate Vegas Outfit

Hi Guys

The other day I saw the hashtag #UltimateVegasOutfit and it got me thinking about what I would wear if I were to visit Las Vegas and stay in one of the many Las Vegas hotels.

As you know I live in Cape Town, South Africa and I have never been to America before,so one would think How could I possibly create an outfit look for a place I know nothing about.

Well it was easier than you think. I hopped onto Vegas.com and was able to read literally everything there is to know about what to do in Vegas.
Vegas is not only about the casinos and eloping to an Elvis impersonator, there are many family friendly activities, so your trip to vegas could be a fun family vacation.
With all that being said in today's post I will be sharing 3 outfits for a day out in Vegas.

<<< >>>

Outfit number one is a very simple casual look.
I chose to have breakfast at Hash House A Go Go they are know for their-''Sophisticated food in a comfortable atmosphere and large portions.
This casual dining restaurant features "twisted farm food"--a delicious selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner options made from fresh ingredients.''

I decided to wear something light and easy for the morning. For outfit one I opted for a sunflower printed dress as Vegas is in the middle of a desert and it will most likely be quite hot.
I then added a beige kimono and white plimsolls.

Kimono // Charlotte Russe

Sunflower Dress // Cotton On

Plimsolls // MrP

Watch // Lassale

Fashion Show mall - over 170,000m2
of shopping! who wouldn't want to experience that? When doing research for this blog post Fashion Show mall caught my attention. Not only is this a massive shopping mall, every weekend there are live fashion shows in the mall's central atrium.

I have heard many things about the beautiful  Caesar's Palace, so of course I had to add it to my day of shopping. This place is not only filled with shopping for all walks for life, but also has exotic fish aquariums, talking statues, world renowned restaurants and breathtaking architecture.
What more could you ask for?

I went for an outfit that was easy to take off and put on as I would likely be trying on everything.
For this look I paired a black circle skirt with a white 3/4 sleeve top and for shoes I chose some flat black ankle boots, as I'll be walking all day. Lastly I opted for a small Leopard printed shoulder bag.

Top // Monki

Circle Skirt // MrP

Boots // Mossimo

Bag // Nine West

And last but not least when in Vegas you have to see some sort of show. I have alway wanted to see Cirque Du Soleil. Therefore I decided on Mystere by Cirque Du Soleil, it has no age restrictions and is suitable for the whole family.  ''Mystère is classic Cirque du Soleil, combining the powerful athleticism, high-energy acrobatics and inspiring imagery that has become the company's hallmark.Deemed a theatrical "flower in the desert," Mystère thrills generations of audiences with its exhilarating blend of whimsy, drama and the unimaginable brought to life on stage.''

Finally for outfit number three I decided on some warmer clothing as it does get chilly in the theatre. For this look I styled these flowy printed pants with a sky blue mesh insert shirt and a pair of holographic heels and accessorized with a silver bag.

Shirt // MrP

Pants // MrP

Heels // MrP

Bag //(Frattapolesine) Aldo

Watch // Lassale

Curl up with me - Autumn/Winter

Although its still summer, winter is slowly approaching and its becoming colder at night. This  season is definitely my favorite, i'm excited and looking forward to it. I love the rain, although summer is lovely nothing beats winter. In South Africa it doesn't snow, but its my dream to witness a white winter someday soon :)

In today's post I am going to share my favorite items to cozy up with on those cold days to survive the winter months.

1.Onesie- Who doesn't love onesies? It keeps you warm and its
super comfy. I have the exact one pictured here, from MrP.
2.A good book- I recommend this amazing book which I am
currently reading by Jentezen Franklin "Believe that you can"

the process to getting there and believing in yourself.Available on Amazon.
3.Marshmallows- With my hot chocolate(cocoa) during the cold days mmm...
4.Hot Chocolate- My favorite is a cup of hot chocolate during that time, well all year round actually.
5.A comedy- I love to watch a movie in winter especially when its raining.
Nacho Libre is one of my favorite comedies and its suitable for the whole family.Available on Amazon.
6.Fuzzy Socks- If you don't own a pair, I suggest you go get some, they are the comfiest and warmest socks ever!
7.A throw or fuzzy blanket- They are fabulous for curling up on those cold days because just like the socks, its super warm and comfy.

Red Carpet Ready

Hi Guys!

Today's post is a bit different to what I usually post.
 Weddington Way an online company which sells and hires bridal party wear, asked a select group of bloggers -me included- to participate in their current project, with the theme;
"My dream red carpet ready look
Basically what I had to do was select a dress from the site which I liked the most and style it the way I would to complete my Red Carpet look, from the dress right down the the hair and make-up.

My Red Carpet Ready Look

For my red carpet look I Chose the Dessy 2905 Lux Chiffon dress in Blush
as it matches my silhouette and complexion perfectly. For shoes, accessories, make-up and nails I kept it simple and neutral.
I chose are a pair of nude almond shaped toe slim high heel pumps.
Crystal studs and a thin crystal stud link bracelet.
Nude square tip nails and natural face make-up with a slight pop of lilac on the eyes. The look is tied together with rose blush cheeks and nude pink lips. Lastly I chose a simple up do -loose front braid tied into a low messy bun-

Dessy 2905 Lux Chiffon dress in blush.
Weddington Way bridesmaid dress collection here and here for the full Chiffon Dress Collection.

Hair: A simple side braid into a low messy bun.
Shoes: Nude almond shape toe slim high heel pump.
Swarovski crystal studs and link bracelet.
Square tip nails in  nude.
Natural face make-up with a pop of lilac on the eyes, rose blush cheeks and a nude pink lip.

             Dress Weddington Way
 Shoes Asos
      Jewelry Swarovski
     Nails Essie

Weddington Way is a online bridal party store. There are over 1000 bridesmaid dresses to choose from as well as junior dresses, groomsman accessories, intimate and shape wear, rehearsal, bacherlorette and bridal shower dresses. Even maternity bridesmaid dresses, jewelry and rentals.
Weddington way is your one stop online bridal party store.
From the features on the site  you can choose the length, color, fabric, designer, theme, season and body shape appropriate dress all in one place.
Another awesome selection is they provide you with suggestions based on the bridesmaid dress you selected which you could use for the rest of your maids and flower girls.

One of my favorite features is the "Create a showroom" section, basically  you select the dresses that you like then you collaborate by sharing the look with your favorite people like your family and bridesmaids. Then you can track your order which keeps you organised and helps make sure that everyone gets their dress on time.

I personally think that Weddindton Way offers affordable dresses with an excellent service. There is yet another great feature that I have to share; you can also hire certain dresses from the site at an affordable
price and that's not all they'll send you a second size dress based on the measurements you gave them free of charge, just in case the first one doesn't fit the way you like.
And lastly you can email a stylist straight from their site as well as make appointment to visit their showroom.
I would recommend Weddington Way as they have so many dresses to choose from and like I said the prices are affordable, what more could you ask for ;)

Disclaimer I  was only approached by Weddington Way if i'd like to participate I was not paid or sponsored in anyway and I was also not sent any of their products.

Thank you so much for reading
