Styling mom Jeans

Hi guys
So I moved house recently and as you know when moving you always tend to stumble upon things you use to love but forgot about.
For me it was this pair of vintage jeans, which I absolutely love.
I feel that everyone can pull of the mom jeans, you just have to find the right fit for your body.
In today's post I will be showing you how I style these jeans for Autumn/Winter.

The Look:

For this look I paired my mom jeans,
which I rolled up a few times with a cream
fluffy pullover
(this pullover is definitely my go-to piece for this season,as
it matches everything and it is so warm and comfy.)
I added a big black
and gold buckle belt to give the outfit more shape.
For shoes I went for these black and gold tip ankle
boots which matches my belt.
And lastly I kept
the jewelry simple with my everyday rings and watch.

Fluffy boxy knit pullover // Cotton on
Mom Jeans // Daniel Hechter
Ankle boots // Shoe Conection
Big Buckle belt // Vintage
Watch // Lassale
Rings // Market Jewelers

I want to apologize for the lighting in my pictures as the weather has been strangle lately -raining/overcast- resulting in me having to take my pictures indoors.

Purple hair w/Manic Panic- Electric Amethyst

I finally decided to dye my hair purple, its something I have been wanting to do for the longest time now.
Before dying my hair,I did a bit of research on purple hair dyes and all there is to know about the process and the upkeep of having purple hair.
I was hoping to achieve a more pastel purple, meaning I had to bleach my hair.

Products I used:

Schwarzkopf Palette Deluxe UIL (Ultra Intense Lightener)
R105 @clicks
Manic panic's Electric Amethyst
(From Amazon)
price varies
A darker purple hair dye;
I used Subaru hair cream in Grape Purple
(Which I purchased from a Chinese shop)
R12 (score)
A comb
A hair clip
A brush to apply dye

My hair was previously dyed a light brown color so
in order to achieve the color below, I had to lighten my hair
four times.
Now remember everybody's hair is different,
and there are many ways and products to lighten ones hair.

The steps I took:

Firstly I washed my hair as I normally would with purple shampoo (as it helps to eliminate any brassiness and yellow tones from blonde hair)

I let my hair air dry, then sectioned and clipped up my hair before applying Manic Panic's Electric Amethyst from my jaw line down leaving about 8-10 cm at the bottom.
I then applied the Subaru hair cream in Grape Purple to the ends of my hair and combed it through a couple of times, to ensure that the dyes are evenly spread.
I left that on for about 15 mins because I didn't want the color to be too dark as it is a permanent hair dye.
I then rinsed my ends under cold water and left the manic panic on for 45 mins - then rinsed, it turned my hair a strange golden brown grayish color, resulting reapplying the dye for an additional hour.
It still wasn't the color I wanted, I rinsed my hair thoroughly and air dried it again.
The next morning I applied the dye  for the third time and left it on for another hour, rinsed and blow dried my hair as per usual.

This is the end result, it is not what I was hoping for, but I love the way it turned out.
As you can tell the section of my hair where I applied the Manic Panic turned out more of a grayish blue color rather than purple.
This is due to the fact that this particular shade Electric Amethyst is blue based and my hair was not light enough and had too much yellow/orange undertones as well. With that being said, I would suggest only using this particular shade if your hair is pale blonde to white.

Thanks so much for reading.

I will be posting a hair care update and FAQ in a couple of weeks.

DIY: Loose Curls

Hi guys, in today's post I will be showing you how to create these beautiful loose curls using my jumbo curling tongs from Toni&Guy's glamour collection.

I will be using:

1.TONI&GUY jumbo curling tongs
2. Paddle brush
3. Flat hair brush
4. Hair clip
5. L'Oreal Tec hot style iron finish heat protection cream

Start by combing all your hair to get rid of any knots.
Next apply a pea size amount of heat protection cream from the tips of your hair towards the roots, I focused more on the tips rather than the roots as my tips have been bleached.
Lastly section your hair into two halves and each half into three sections.

Once your hair has been sectioned, take small pieces, brush and pull the hair straight using a flat hair brush (this will help prevent any breakage) and start curling.
The way I like to curl my hair is by alternating the direction of the curl (thus preventing one big curl) as well as switching up my technique, either by wrapping the hair around the barrel from my roots with the clamp open, wrapping my hair around the barrel with the clamp closed or clamping the tips of my hair between the barrel and the clamp and rolling my hair upward. I wait about 15-20 seconds before releasing the curls slowly.
Repeat on the other side, remembering to switch the direction of the curls to create a more natural look. I prefer to curl the front sections of my hair away from my face
Happy Curling!
